Men's Basketball Defeats Roadrunners With 21 Each from Young, White, and Edwards

DALTON, GA - The men's basketball team got back on the winning track with a 86-72 win over the Dalton State Roadrunners on Saturday to move to 8-3 on the season and 3-3 in SSAC play.  The Knights were led by Darrell White, Tyrone Young, and Antony Edwards who each had a game-high 21 points.  White also had 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals, all game-highs in the win.  

The Knights jumped out to an early lead and allowed the score to be tied only once in the first half.  The lead was a much as 13 in the first half with the team shooting 50% from the field.  The second half saw the Knights up by as much as 17 and a double-digit lead for most of the half.  The team shot 41.2% from the field for the game and 81% from the free throw line.  Edwards shot 5-7 from the three point line while Young was 3-7 and White 2-8.  The three shot a combined 15-18 from the free throw line.

The Knights host the University of Mobile Rams on Thursday at 7:30 PM following the women's matchup at 5:30 PM.  A special recognition of Scott Moe's 300th win will be made during the men's game that night.
