Men's Basketball Falls Short Against Faulkner

COCHRAN, GA - The men's basketball team lost their 3rd straight SSAC game with a 76-71 loss to Faulkner on Monday, February 11.  The Knights fell behind early and trailed by 10 at the half before swapping the lead back and forth over the final few minutes and losing.  The loss drops the team's overall record to 14-9 and 9-9 in SSAC play.  The Knights were led by Darrell White with 21 matching his per game average that leads the SSAC.  Tyrone Young pulled in a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds as well as dishing out 5 assists.  Kevien Ford led the Knights in assists with 6.  The Eagles had all 5 starters in double-digit scoring in the win.

The loss has the Knights at 9-9 and a game behind Faulkner for 6th spot which earns an opening round bye in the SSAC Tournament on February 28th through March 2.  The Knights only sit 2 games out of the 4-seed and could climb back up with some wins and help over the next two weeks.

The Knights travel to Mobile on the 14th then Tuscaloosa to face Stillman College on the 16th before closing out the regular season at home on the 21st against Brewton Parker and 23rd against Florida College.
