Women's Basketball Takes Down Falcons in Overtime

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL - The Knights women's basketball team defeated the Florida College Falcons 83-70 in overtime to get back on the winning track.  The win makes the Knights 6-9 overall and 2-6 in SSAC play.  The Knights outscored the Falcons 33-12 in the 4th quarter and overtime to earn the victory.  The Knights shot 44.7% from the field compared to the Falcons 36.8% and held the edge in free throw shooting 83.3% to 52.9%.  The Knights shot 45.5% from the three point line including 5 hit by Delas and 4 hit by Polite.

The Knights were led by Kianna Delas with 21 points to go with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.  Dexshalyn Polite was second in scoring with 20 points to go with 8 rebounds.  Gabby Hill and Ilyn Spann each narrowly missed double-doubles as Spann had 17 points and 9 assists while Hill had 13 poins and 9 rebounds.  Mariah Scott had her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  

The Knights travel to Brewton Parker College on Saturday, January 19 to play at 2pm for their next contest.  The team will be on the road for three more games after Saturday before rerturning home on January 31.
