Women's Tennis Holds at #12 in NAIA and Defeat #22 Marian

MACON, GA - The women's tennis team started the season at #12 and in the 3rd poll of the season, have still held tight in the spot while earning another 5-0 win on the same day.  The Knights took down Marian (Ind) who held the #22 ranking at the start of the day but dropped to the first team receiving votes in the polls released on March 12.  The Knights swept all 3 doubles then won #1 singles by Maike Nagele 6-0,6-0 and #6 singles by Jacqueline Heer 6-1,6-0 for the win.  The #3, 4, and 5 singles each were up a set and had at least 4 games won in the 2nd set when the match was halted.  The team's record now stands at 5-3 on the season and 3-1 in SSAC play.  The team's next match is on Sunday, March 17 at #5 Brenau University in Gainesville, GA.
