Bzurovski Header Lifts Knights in 2OT

The Knights Men's Soccer team came into tonight's match looking to bounce back from a tough loss and get back to even on the season. The Knights started off the match by giving up the first goal to the Hurricanes in the 35th minute. It didn't take them long to match the goal as Marcos Garcia was able to kick in a deflection off of the keeper for his first goal of the season. The score remained tied at one until the 84th minute as Callum Bryan was also able to get a goal on a deflection off of the keeper. The Hurricanes were able to answer quickly and send the game into overtime. Alejo Bzurovski was finally able to find the back of the net as he headed in the game-winning goal on a free kick from Felix Gotthardt. The match was filled with yellow cards as the Knights received 4 and the Hurricanes received 7. The Knights were able to outshoot the Hurricanes 16-9 as Alvaro Elizari led the team with 5 shots. The Knights next game is at home against Talladega College on Saturday, September 14 at 7:30 PM.
