Knights Upset #8 Grizzlies with Theriault Hat Trick

The Knights Women's Soccer team came into Saturday's contest against #8 Georgia Gwinnett riding a wave of momentum as they looked to continue on their 2-game winning streak. The Knights would start off the game scoring a goal from Hannah Theriault in the 4th minute with an assist from Angela Fedel. The scoring did not stop there as Theriault would score again in the 17th minute with an assist from Miagh Downey. Theriault was able to finish off the hat trick as she scored again in the 32nd minute. The Knights were able to hold onto the 3-0 lead going into halftime. The Grizzlies would be able to put one in the back of the net in the 75th minute but it would not be enough as the Knights upset the Grizzlies 3-1. The Knights next game comes against NCAA DII opponent Georgia Southwestern on Tuesday, September 10. The Knights currently have a 4-game winning streak over the Hurricanes dating back to 2015.
