Rucker Wins Semifinals to Earn a Spot in the IHSA National Championships

OCALA, FL -  MGA Equestrian is headed to National Championship competition in Syracuse, New York with equestrian student Sarah Andrews Rucker.

History was made this past weekend as Sarah Andrews Rucker and Jamie Wilder competed at one of the 3 IHSA Semi Finals in the country in Ocala, Florida. This is the first time MGA Equestrian has been represented at a post season championship. Both riders were thrilled to make it to the Ocala Semi Finals. Wilder rode very well, and finished the season strong but did not make it to the final heat in her Open division. Wilder is excited to start even stronger next season for MGA.

Sarah Andrews Rucker competed in the preliminary heat and made it to the top 8, final heat. When she walked into the arena in the finals for Middle Georgia State University, she knew she had to be top 4 to get a spot at The IHSA National Championship in New York.  She rode with the confidence and preciseness that far surpassed her 16 years and won the competition. Thus, earning her a coveted spot to ride against the other top 11 riders in the country in her division.

The National Championships will be held on May 3-4 in Syracuse, NY.  For more information about the upcoming IHSA Nationals please see the link provided: http://www.ihsainc.com/events/nationals
