Men's Basketball Holds Off Rams for Win

MOBILE, AL - The men's basketball held off the University of Mobile Rams with a 76-74 win to move to 15-9 on the season and 10-9 in SSAC play while the Rams drop to 9-15 overall and 5-13 in SSAC play.  The Knights were once again led by Darrell White with a game-high 23 points raising his season SSAC leading average to 21.25 points per game.  Antony Edwards had 17 points and Marques Hinton had 12 points to join White in double-digit scoring.  Tyrone Young pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the team and Kinsey Burgess had aa game high 5 steals.  Kevin Ford led the team in assists with 6 raising his season average to 4.67 per game and ranking 2nd in the SSAC.

The Knights have 3 more game remaining in the regular season and currently hold the 7th seed in the SSAC tournament which starts February 28 in Montgomery, AL.  As the 7-seed, the Knights would play the opening round match agains the 10 seed which is currently Mobile.  

The Knights head to Tuscaloosa to take on #9 Stillman College on Saturday the 16th before returning home for a pair of games on the 21st and 23rd.
