Men's Basketball Loses to #5 Stillman

TUSCALOOSA, AL - The men's basketball team upset then #8 Stillman College Tigers in Cochran in January but the Tigers, who moved up to #5 in the most recent NAIA polls, hosted the Knights for Homecoming on Saturday, February 16th and took the win 92-76.  The Knights are now 15-10 on the season and 10-10 in SSAC play with two games remaining in the regular season.  

The Knights trailed by 6 at halftime but were outscored 50-40 in the second half in the loss.  Ravion Henry had a game-high 25 for the Tigers while the Knights were led by De'Miria Glover with 16 points.  Antony Edwards scored 13 and Tyrone Young had 10 points and 6 rebound sin the loss.  Darrell White led the team in assists with 5 but the SSAC's leading scorer had a season-low in points with 5 dropping his season average to 20.6 points per game.  

The Knights are currently in the 7th seed in the SSAC with 2 games remaining and, before Loyola and Faulkner finish their games on Saturday, are a half-game behind each.  Mathematically that is as low as the Knights could finish is the 7th seed and have to play on the first day of the SSAC tournament, February 28th against the 10-seed.  The Knights host Brewton Parker College on Thursday, February 21 following the women's game at 5:30 PM and then will have senior day on Saturday, February 23 following the women's game at 1 PM.
