Men's Basketball Season Ends in SSAC Finals, White and Young Named to All-Tournament Team

MONTGOMERY, AL - The Knights men's basketball team made a run at the SSAC Tournament Championship but came up short in a 78-74 loss to the Loyola University Wolfpack in their bid for their first SSAC Championship and NAIA National Tournament bid.  

Darrell White and Tyrone Young were named to the SSAC All-Tournament team for their efforts in the 4 games.  White averaged 18.25 points per game after only scoring 4 in the Final but scored 68 points in the first 3 games.  Young averaged 12.25 points per game for the Knights 9 rebounds per game for the tournament.  

White also earned All-Conference for the SSAC scoring 20 points per game for the season and ranking 2nd in the SSAC.  He finishes the season ranked 4th in the NAIA in total scoring (620), 8th in 3-point field goals made (93), 14th in 3-point field goals per game (3.00), 32nd in steals (47), and 34th in free throw percentage (80.6%).  Having played 2 years with the Knights, White joined the MGA 1,000 point club in the first round of the tournament and finished his career with 1,077 points averaging 18.3 points per game in 59 games for the Knights.
