Men's Soccer Wins Season Finale

MOUNT VERNON, GA - The men's soccer closed out their season with a 2-0 win against the Brewton Parker College Barons.  The win was the second of the season for the team and they close with a record of 1-7 in SSAC play and 2-13-1 overall.  

The Knights got a goal from Kyle Jordann in the 25th minute on a penalty kick which was his 5th of the season and second game winning goal. Erik Ulloa Villa added the second goal in the 43rd minute placing the ball in the top right for a 2-0 halftime lead.  Benjamin Pelz made his return to the lineup after missing several games for a concussion to earn the shutout with five saves in the game.

The game was the last of the season for the Knights who missed the SSAC Tournament which moved from an 8-team tournament to 6-team tournament starting this season.  The Knights will look to add some talent for next season and hope to return a core of their freshmen and sophomore players from this season whcih will build a core group for the 2019 season.
