Sadler's 22 Points, 17 Rebounds Leads Knights to Important Win With Two Games Remaining

TUSCALOOSA, AL - The women's basketball team got an important win over Stillman College 66-59 for their 5th SSAC win and clinches a playoff-berth in the SSAC Tournament starting February 28.  The win puts the Knights at 9-16 overall and 5-13 in SSAC play.  The Knights are tied with Faulkner Universtiy for the 8th seed with both teams 2 games ahead of the current 10-seed Florida College and 3 games ahead of the 11-seed, Blue Mountain College with all teams having 2 remaining.

Joy Sadler led the Knights with game-highs in points at 22 and rebounds at 17.  Dexshalyn Polite was the only other Knight in double-figues with 10 points but the other 5 Knights that played each scored 5 or more points in the game.  The teams were tied after the first period at 17 but the Knights took a 6 point lead at halftime outscoring Stillman 15-9 in the 2nd quarter.  The Knights led by 11 after 3 quarters and finished the game with the 7 point win.

The Knights will be at home on Thursday, February 21st when they host the Brewton Parker College Barons at 5:30 PM followed by the men.  The final game of the season on February 23rd will be senior day and start at 1 PM against the Florida College Falcons.
