Volleyball Season Wraps Up As Team Loses in SSAC Tournament

MONTGOMERY, AL - The women's volleyball team ended their season with a pair of losses in pool play of the SSAC Tournament on Thursday, November 8.  The team lost to Martin Methodist in the opening match 3-0 then later in the day to the University of Mobile 3-0 with 3 close games.  The team ended the season with a record of 3-17.

The SSAC Awards were announced on the same night with the Knights have three members earn a spot on the SSAC All-Academic Team with a 3.25 GPA and 24 or more credit hours earned.  Junior Demaris Irick along with Sophomores Ta'Korya Green and Baylea Richrads each earned the honor for the Knights.

Cara MacFarland received the Musco Lighting Champions of Character Award for the Knights.  The award is given to the player on the team the coach nominates for their work throughout the season to exhibit the five Champions of Character initiatives: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.
