The Georgia Premier Cross Country Course is home of the Middle Georgia State University women’s cross country team as well as serving as one of the most sought after venues in the Southeast for championship events ranging from middle school, high school and collegiate championships.

One of the finest courses in the state, Georgia Premier offers running loops of 2K, 3K, and 5K distances while boasting professional certification of distance from cross country sanctioning bodies.

In 2025, the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course completed significant construction upgrades with the completion of a spectator pavilion, expanded paved parking as well as on-site amenities such as public restrooms, team locker rooms, an Athletic Training room and a covered area for post-event awards and spectator viewing.
Located on the edge of the Middle Georgia State University Macon campus, the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course is easily accessible from I-75, with many lodging and restaurant establishments within a short drive. It has large, accommodating parking areas and is a very “spectator-friendly” course, offering vantage points at several areas of the course, in addition to a spacious team area for tents and warm-up.
Along with cross country races, Georgia Premier is also used by area schools for training and practice. Local universities Mercer University and Wesleyan College have also utilized the facility for hosting collegiate events. The course has also hosted regional and state championship events for the Georgia Independent School Association (GIAA) as well as the Georgia Association of Private & Parochial Schools (GAPPS).

Collegiate conference cross country championships are regularly hosted at Georgia Premier including the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship (NCAA Division I), Southern Conference Championship (NCAA Division I) and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NCAA Division II).

In addition, the course has been home to Cyclocross races, opening the course to a broader audience and clientele.
In short, the Georgia Premier Cross Country course is becoming a favored location for cross country races for middle and high schools, intercollegiate teams, and civic and area organizations. As the course continues to host running events, and with the addition of Cyclocross, it will be a destination course for cross country enthusiasts on foot or by wheel, serving a broad audience from Central Georgia and beyond.
