Nesmith Field
Originally built as the home of the Middle Georgia College football program in 1996, NeSmith Field now plays host for the Knights’ men’s and women’s soccer teams. NeSmith Field is only used as a game-site with both MGA soccer teams utilizing separate fields on campus for practice and training sessions. The lack of daily practice at the facility allows it to remain in pristine condition for competition.
With seating for over 2,000 spectators, NeSmith Field has one of the finest playing surfaces in the state of Georgia with its well-maintained bermuda grass natural surface. Atop the large grandstand seating area for spectators is a three-booth press box and filming tower. A large scoreboard sits beyond the far end of the field while team benches align the opposite side of the field adjacent from the spectator bleacher seating.
The facility received several upgrades in time for the 2024 season with new windscreens, branded bench tents, field access stairs for players and officials as well as a branded wall that runs the length of the field along the grandstand.
Public restrooms are located beneath the grandstand along with an area for ice and concessions. Team and officials locker rooms are located on campus within the Athletic Training Facility (ATF) and the Recreation and Wellness facility and may be accessed before and after competition.
