Macon, GA - The Knights were at home on Saturday to take on an old foe in the Warhawks of Auburn University at Montgomery. The Knights were opening the season ranked 11th in the preseason NAIA poll and were looking to continue to build on their past success. The Knights would start off the match in a good position as they would win the #3 doubles match 6-1 with the team of Maxence Kupfert and Angelo Tost winning the match. The Knights would end up losing the #1 double match 6-2 but would take the #2 doubles match 7-6 with the team of Naufal Kamaruzzaman and Oscar Mola to take the point. The Warhawks would sweep the singles matches, taking all six points, but the Knights would lose two of those matches in a third set tiebreaker with three other matches losing the first set 7-5. The Knights will compete again in two exhibition matches against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Atlantis University before traveling to Augusta, Georgia to take on the Jaguars of Augusta University.
