Macon, GA - The Knights were back on their home courts on Saturday, March 1st as they hosted the Phoenix of Cumberland University. The Knights were in action for the first time in two weeks while they nursed injuries.
The Knights started off the match winning the #2 doubles match but losses in the #1 and #3 doubles matches gave the Phoenix the point. After securing points in the #1 and #2 singles matches, the Knights lost the #3 and #5 singles matches and the Phoenix were one point from winning the match. The Knights got the win in the #4 singles match to tie the overall match at 3-3 and it came down to the #6 singles match. After losing the first set,
Mauricio Olschansky won the second set to force the third and final set. The Phoenix pulled out the win in the final set to take the match as the Knights lost 4-3.
The Knights will be back in action on Sunday, March 2nd as they host the Bees of SCAD-Atlanta. That match is set to start at 11 AM EST.
