Montgomery, AL - The Knights were back on the road on Friday, March 28th as they headed to Montgomery, Alabama to play the 5th-ranked Crusaders of William Carey University in the second SSAC Roundup. The Knights previously lost to the Fire of Southeastern University that ended their long winning streak and were looking to start another one.

The Knights had a good start to the match as they won the #3 Doubles match with Yana Prihach and Aya El Marrasse Zarioui 6-2 and the #1 Doubles match with Ainhoa Meili Fernandez del Moral and Marina Prieto Gonfaus 6-4 to take the point and go up 1-0 in the match. The good start ran out in the Singles portion of the match. Yana Prihach won the #6 Singles match 6-3, 6-4 to give the Knights a second point. Berta Castello Petrus won the first set in the #2 Singles match but lost the second and third sets and Aya El Marrasse Zarioui lost the first set in the #5 Singles match but came back to win the second set. She was forced to retire in the third set as the Crusaders tied the match at 2-2. The Crusaders won the rest of the Singles matches in straight sets and the Knights lost 5-2.

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, March 29th as they face the 8th-ranked Crusaders of Loyola University. That match will start at 2 PM EDT.
