COCHRAN, Ga.- The Middle Georgia State University Department of Athletics concluded their annual Knights Give campaign last month with another record-setting fundraising total reflecting the excitement building around MGA Athletics. A total of $67,421 was raised during the campaign while 957 donors contributed that helped secure funds for each of the 10 athletic teams at MGA.

The total dollars raised increased from $61,088 and 818 donors last year for a campaign that has seen annual growth each of the past three years.

"So many people are passionate and care deeply about Middle Georgia State Athletics and their generosity continues to allow us the opportunity to improve the student-athlete experience," said Michael Brown, Director of Athletics.

"Our student-athletes, coaches, and staff each embraced the challenge of a peer-to-peer campaign and connecting our initiatives to nearly 1,000 donors," continued Brown. On behalf of all of our Knights we say THANK YOU to our family, friends, and other loyal supporters who contributed this year to another record-setting campaign."

Highlights of the campaign include four teams each raising more than $10,000 for their programs including women's basketball ($16,474.26), men's basketball ($14,679), baseball ($12,947) and softball ($10,865). Plans are already underway for these funds to impact important areas of the student-athlete experience including locker room renovations, investment in new equipment and nutrition as well as technology enhancements.
