MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The MGA women's tennis team had a quick turnaround from their first Peach Belt Conference match of the season on Friday however that didn't seem to slow them down much as the Knights took care of Georgia College on Saturday afternoon by a final tally of 4-3.
The nationally-ranked Knights are now 8-4 on the season and 2-0 in PBC play following their weekend sweep of Georgia Southwestern and Georgia College.

MGA earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles with the No. 1 tandem of
Ainhoa Meili Fernandez del Moral and Augustina Olivero earning the first win (6-4) followed by the No. 3 pair of
Lucile Gence and
Irina Furtuna earning a 6-3 victory.
The singles portion of the match were close throughout with Fernandez once again pacing the Knights attack with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles while Olivero produced a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles to get the Knights within striking distance.
Yana Prihach clinched the match for MGA at No. 6-singles with her dominating 6-1, 6-2 showing.
Notable Performances
Fernandez' good work at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles helped pace the Knights over all.
What's Next
The Knights will have a week until their next test when they are set to host No. 26-ranked Columbus State University at the MGA Tennis Courts in Macon on Saturday, April 4th.
