MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The MGA women's tennis team had a quick turnaround from their first Peach Belt Conference match of the season on Friday however that didn't seem to slow them down much as the Knights took care of Georgia College on Saturday afternoon by a final tally of 4-3.

The nationally-ranked Knights are now 8-4 on the season and 2-0 in PBC play following their weekend sweep of Georgia Southwestern and Georgia College.

Match Recap

MGA earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles with the No. 1 tandem of Ainhoa Meili Fernandez del Moral and Augustina Olivero earning the first win (6-4) followed by the No. 3 pair of Lucile Gence and Irina Furtuna earning a 6-3 victory.

The singles portion of the match were close throughout with Fernandez once again pacing the Knights attack with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles while Olivero produced a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles to get the Knights within striking distance.
