MACON, Ga. - The Knights were back in action on Friday, March 6th as they were set to take on the Warhawks of Auburn-Montgomery in their first home match of the NCAA Division II era. The Knights were coming off of a loss to Lee University while the Warhawks were on a four-match losing streak, three of which came against ranked opponents.

The Knights got off to a great start as they picked up a 6-3 win in the #2 doubles match from Alejandro Vizoso and Duarte Mestre. They were able to clinch the point with a 6-2 win in the #3 doubles match from Nick Dufner and Vicente Faria as they headed into singles play up 1-0. The Knights had less luck in singles play as they lost the #3, #4, and #5 matches in straight sets. Nick Dufner won the first set of the #6 match but lost the second and third sets to lose the match as they lost the overall match 4-1.

What's Next

The Knights will be back at home on Thursday, March 12th as they host the 30th-ranked Jaguars of Augusta University in their first Peach Belt Conference match of the season. That match is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM EST.
