Dr. Brian Ludwig is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and serves as the head team physician for Middle Georgia State University Athletics. Dr. Ludwig is a fellowship trained sports medicine specialist through Ortho Georgia.
His special interests are athletic injuries, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee, fracture care, and total joint reconstruction (knee and shoulder). He is certified for MAKO (Stryker) and ROSA (Zimmer) robotic assisted joint replacement.
In addition to covering sporting events and providing athletic screenings for high school and college athletes he also has served as the head team physician for Mercer University and Fort Valley State University. Dr. Ludwig also provides care for Workers’ Compensation injuries and performs independent medical examinations for these patients.
Dr. Ludwig has authored multiple orthopedic book chapters, medical journal articles and enjoys presenting at medical conferences.
