Women's Basketball Drops Pair on Road Trip

NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Knight women's basketball team finished out the 2018 year with a pari of losses over the weekend with a 71-50 loss to William Carey University (Miss.) on Friday then a 88-76 loss to Loyola University (La.) on Sunday.  The losses drop the overall record to 5-6 and 1-3 in SSAC play.  

In the Friday matchup, the Knighs were led by Dexshalyn Polite with 12 points as the only Knight in double figures.  The Wolfpack of Loyola had 4 players in double digits as Danyelle Lewis had a game-high 18 points.  Kianna Delas and Mairah Scott had a team-high 7 rebounds each while Ilyn Spann had 5 assists.

The Sunday weekend finale for the team saw Sadler score 22 points and pull in 7 rebounds.  Polite had a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists.  Delas had 14 points and game-high 5 steals.  Spann was the 4th Knight in double-digits scoring with 11 points.

The Knights will be off until January 3, 2019 when they will tavel to Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tenn before returning home on January 10 to host the University of Mobile and the 12th to host Stillman College (Ala.).
