Women's Basketball Loses in Overtime to Rams

MOBILE, AL - The women's basketball game lost a tough, back-and-forth contest in overtime by a final of 77-75 to the Mobile Rams.  The loss puts the team at 4-13 in SSAC play and 8-16 overall.  The Knights were led by Kianna Delas with a game-high 18 points while Joy Sadler put up her 11th double-double of the season as she scored 14 points and pulled in 10 rebounds.  Dexshalyn Polite had 16 points and Mariah Scott added 10 as the other Knights in double-figures.  

The Knights are the current 9-seed in the SSAC standings and hold a 1 game lead over Florida College for the spot and 2 games over Blue Mountain College.  The top 10 teams go to the SSAC tournament starting on February 28 in Montgomery, AL.  The team has three SSAC games remaining against Stillman College (13-11, 8-8 SSAC), Brewton Parker College (16-10, 12-6 SSAC), and Florida College (11-16, 3-14 SSAC).  The Knights are 1-2 against the three remaining teams having defeated Florida College in overtime while losing to Brewton Parker in overtime.
