Women's Basketball Lose Despite 4 Starters in Double-Digits

COCHRAN, GA - The Knights women's basketball lost to the William Carey University Crusaders (8-11 overall, 7-8 SSAC) on Thursday by a score of 76-55.  The Knights are now 3-11 in SSAC play and 7-14 overall.

The Knights had 4 players in double-digits including Joy Sadler who had 11 poins and 11 rebounds for her 7th double-double of the season.  Gabby Hill and Dexshalyn Polite each scored 13 for the Knights and Kiana Delas scored 12.  Ilyn Spann had a game-high 7 assists and is averaging 4.9 assists per game which is 15th in the NAIA and leads the SSAC.

With just 6 games remaining in the regular season, the Knights will need to get a couple of wins to solidify their spot in the SSAC tournament.  The tournament is the top 10 in the SSAC with the Knights currently in the 9th seed and one a half game lead over Florida College and a 2 game lead over Blue Mountain College.

The Knights will host the Loyola University Wolfpack for Homecoming on Saturday, February 9 at 1PM for their next game then host the Faulkner University Eagles on Monday, February 11 at 5:30 PM.  The men's game will follow on both dates.
