Cochran, GA - The Knights were back in action on Thursday as they welcomed the Wolfpack from Loyola-New Orleans to Morris Gym as they were set to take on the #2 ranked team to open their SSAC conference play.
The Knights started off the game by making the first basket of the game as the Knights looked poised to hang with the Wolfpack early on. The Wolfpack would take control though as the Knights would quickly fall behind and would never be able to recover. The Knights would be down 17 points after ten minutes of the first half and would continue to struggle to produce enough offense to keep up with the Wolfpack as they would head into the halftime break down 54-27. The Knights offensive woes would continue into the second half as they would get to within 21 points but the Wolfpack would be too much for the Knights as the Knights would go on to lose 91-60.
Tristan Harper led the Knights with 23 points and six rebounds, shooting 5-of-16 from the field and 13-of-16 from the free throw line.
Maliek Sadler added 17 points, shooting 6-of-9 from the field, 3-of-4 from beyond the 3-point line.
The Knights will look to regroup as they host the Crusaders from William Carey University on Saturday, November 20th. That game will tip-off at 2 PM EST/1 PM CST.
