Tuscaloosa, AL - The Knights were back in action for an SSAC matchup on the road as they traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to take on the Tigers of Stillman College. The Tigers were ranked 15th in the latest NAIA polls and the Knights were looking to knock them down.
The Knights would take the lead early with the first basket of the game before the Tigers would jump out to a six point lead. The Knights would rattle off six straight points to tie the game back up at 10-10 and the Tigers would jump back out to a eight point lead. The Knights would never be within reach of the lead again as missed shots by the Knights would allow the Tigers to pull away late in the first half. The Knights would go into the halftime break down 48-32 as they would look to correct some mistakes and start to make some shots in the second half. The Knights would start the second half by cutting the deficit down to 12 points before the Tigers would extend the lead back out to 23 points. The Knights would slowly start to eat away at the deficit, as they would get it back down to 15 points, but the energy would run out as the the Knights would lose the game 90-65.
Juwan Johnson led the Knights with 16 points as
Tristan Harper and
Tyler Willoughby would each add 15 points.
The Knights will look to have more success on Saturday, December 4th as they wrap up the road trip against the Toppers of Blue Mountain College. That game will tip-off at 3 PM EST/2 PM CST.
