Box Score 2 Macon, GA - The Knights Volleyball team was on the road for their first SSAC weekend action, first on Friday against the University of Mobile Rams, then again on Saturday against the Faulkner University Eagles. The Knights went into the weekend 0-11 all-time against the Rams and 1-8 all-time against the Eagles
Friday - Mobile
The Knights went into Friday's match against the Rams 3-0 for the season but the defending SSAC champions quickly showed the Knights what they were lacking. The Knights lost in straight sets 25-12, 25-12, 25-16 but showed progress throughout the match as they increased their kill count in every set. The Knights were led by
Brooke Ginaitt with four kills and
Courtney Williamson with four blocks.
Saturday - Faulkner
The Knights went into Saturday's match with the Eagles looking to rebound from the tough loss the previous night. The Knights would get off to a slow start, dropping the first set 25-14. The Knights would lose the second set but the score would be closer at 25-19 in which the Knights were plagued with errors. The Knights would drop the third set 25-16 and would fall to 3-2 on the season.
Stephanie Burke led the way with nine kills and
Brooke Norwood led with 20 assists and 12 digs.
The Knights will look to improve their record as they host Trinity Baptist College on Tuesday, September 21st. That match will be at the Volleyball Gym in Macon, Georgia and will start at 3 PM EST.
