Mount Vernon, GA - The Knights were back on the court for the first time after the Christmas break as they traveled to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. The Knights would take the lead on the first shot of the game but the Barons would keep the game close to start. The Knights would be down 7-6 with 12 minutes remaining in the first half but would use a 16-point run to take a 22-7 lead as they would take control of the game. The Knights would continue to control the game over the Barons as they would jump out to a 35-13 lead before going into the halftime break with a 37-20 advantage. Tyler Willoughby led the Knights with 17 points and seven rebounds at the break. The Knights would never let the Barons back in the game as the Barons would get within 19 points but the Knights would extend their lead to as many as 30 points before finishing the game with the 76-47 victory. Willoughby would finish the game with 23 points and 10 rebounds as Tristan Harper would add 13 points coming off the bench. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, January 13th as they travel to Montgomery, Alabama to take on the Eagles of Faulkner University in their attempt to get their record back to .500.
