Box Score New Orleans, LA - The Knights were finally back in action on Thursday as they traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to take on the Wolfpack of Loyola University after COVID caused the Knights to postpone games the last two weeks. The Knights were looking to end a two-game conference losing streak but would face a tough test against the #3-ranked Wolfpack. The Knights would look good early in the first half with
Juwan Johnson scoring the first eight points for the Knights but the Wolfpack would start to show why they were so highly ranked as the Knights would fall behind quickly and the game would be out of reach by halftime as the Knights trailed the Wolfpack, 73-40. The Knights would come out of halftime looking to keep the game within a reasonable deficit but the Wolfpack would continue to attack the Knights. The Wolfpack would outscore the Knights by 20 points in the second half and the Knights would lose the game 129-76.
Maliek Sadler led the Knights with 18 points off the bench as three Knights would finish the game with double digits in scoring. The Knights will look to Saturday, January 29th for another chance to end their losing streak as they travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take on the Crusaders of William Carey University. That game will tip-off at 3 PM EST.
