Hattiesburg, MS - The Knights were back on the court on Saturday as they traveled to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take on the Crusaders of William Carey University. The Knights defeated the Crusaders earlier in the season and were looking to do the same on Saturday. The Knights would jump out to early 9-3 lead but the Crusaders would come back with a 14-point run to go ahead 17-9. The Knights would play from behind for a majority of the first half until the final minutes as both teams would trade the lead before the Knights would make a shot just before halftime to take a 37-36 lead into the break. The game would continue to be close to start the second half as the Knights would keep a three point lead with 10:00 minute remaining in the game. The Knights would try to pull away from the Crusaders but the game would be tied at 66-66 before the Knights would go on an 11 point run to take the lead and pull away from the Crusaders for good, winning 83-71.
Tristan Harper led the Knights with 28 points as
Juwan Johnson added 14 points. The Knights will return to their home court as they take on the Tornadoes from Talladega College on Tuesday, February 1st. That game will tip-off at 7:30 PM EST.
