Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on the field on Saturday, October 15th as they hosted the Tornadoes of Talladega College. The Knights were looking for more success after playing Blue Mountain College to a draw on Thursday. The Knights would be the aggressive team from the start as they would come out firing on all cylinders. The Knights would get the first goal of the match in the sixth minute from
Alique Skerritt as the Knights would take the 1-0 lead. The offense would continue to attack with a multitude of shots but would not be able to add on to the score as they would take the 1-0 advantage into the halftime break. The Knights would give up a goal in the 54th minute as they would come out of the halftime break looking sluggish. The Knights would take back the lead in the 69th minute with a goal from
Giancarlo Segnini to take a 2-1 lead but the lead would not be safe as the Tornadoes would score another goal just four minutes later to tie the match at 2-2. The match looked to be heading to another draw result for the Knights until
Alex Chmelo would score with just 28 seconds left and the Knights would take the 3-2 lead and win the match. The Knights would outshoot the Tornadoes 24-5 in the match with a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, October 20th as they hit the road for another SSAC match, this time in Montgomery, Alabama with the Eagles of Faulkner University. That match is set to kickoff at 7:30 PM CST.
