Macon, GA - The Knights were back on their home court on Saturday, October 22nd as they hosted the toppers of Blue Mountain College. The Toppers came into the match receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll so the Knights were looking for a signature upset. The Knights would start the first set well, jumping out to a 5-2 lead early on in the set. The Toppers would come back with four straight points as the set would remain close throughout the first part of the set. The Toppers would slowly inch away and the Knights would lose the first set 25-15. The Knights would start out the second set the way they started the first set as they jumped out to a 6-3 lead. The Knights would have a 7-4 lead before the Toppers would rattle off 15 straight points and the Knights would be unable to come back as they would go on to lose the second set 25-12. The Knights and Toppers would start off the third set trading the lead as neither team could pull away until midway through the set when the Toppers would slowly start to pull away and the Knights would lose the set 25-14. Courtney Williamson would lead the Knights with eight kills as Ellison Johnson would record a double-double with 13 assist and 13 digs, leading the Knights in both categories. The Knights will return to the court on Tuesday, October 25th as they are set to host the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. That match is set to start at 7 PM EST.
