Knights Continue Success With Big Wins

Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on the field on Saturday as they welcomed the Cavaliers of Montreat College to town for an early doubleheader. The Knights were riding a nine game winning streak and were looking to keep their streak going. The Knights would give up a run in the top of the first inning but would answer back in the second inning with five runs on three hits as they would take a 5-1 lead after two innings. The Knights would score more runs in the third inning on an RBI single by Logan Blizzard, a two-run single by Karlee Back, and an RBI single by Summer Lawrence and the Knights would go up 9-1. The Knights would score another run in the fourth inning after a walk with the bases loaded would push across another run for the Knights and they would win the game 10-1. The Knights would carry their offense over into the second game as an RBI single by Emma Raulerson and a two-run home run by Georgia Bice would give the Knights a 3-0 lead after one inning of play. An RBI double in the second inning by Raulerson would give the Knights a 4-0 lead and the Knights would get two-run home runs from Arabia Easley and Riley Edge in the fourth inning to go ahead 8-0 as they would hold on to win the game by the same score. Beth Eddins would get the win for Game 1, throwing four innings while giving up three hits and striking out five batters. Mackenzie Silvia would get the win in Game 2, throwing a complete game shutout while only allowing one hit and striking out two batters.
