Gainesville, FL - The Knights traveled to Gainesville, Florida to compete in some shows over the weekend. The Middle Georgia Knights Equestrian Team had a very successful show weekend. On Saturday, there were two separate shows, and then another on Sunday. Open rider Sarah Rucker got second place in the reining and first in the horsemanship for the first show winning overall high point champion. In the second show, she got fifth in the reining and then fourth in the horsemanship. In the Sunday show, she got second in the reining and second in the horsemanship. Anastasia Ash, our Level II rider, got second in the ranch riding, and first in the horsemanship. In the afternoon portion, she won the ranch riding, and second in the horsemanship which earned her reserve high point overall. Sunday, Anna got third in the horsemanship and fourth in the ranch riding. Beginner rider, Elizabeth Carter, got sixth in her first class on Saturday and seventh in her last. On Sunday, she rode on to achieve another seventh place. Jessica Shepherd, a beginner rider, achieved a second in the first show, a sixth in the second show, and a fourth in the Sunday show. Gracy Haynes, who is also a beginner rider, got fifth in the first show, fifth in the second show, and sixth in the show on Sunday. The Knights next show will be on March 12th and 13th at home.
