Columbus, GA - The Knights were back in action of Friday with another matchup against the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. The Knights lost to the Barons in the first game of the SSAC Tournament and were looking for some revenge as they would have a chance to knock the Barons out of the tournament. The Knights looked good as
Brian Herrera would hit a two run home run in the first inning to give the Knights a 2-0 lead. The Knights would give up two runs in the top of the third inning but would go back ahead after a run would score on a Barons error to give the Knights a 3-2 lead. The Knights would give up three more runs in the top of the fourth inning to fall behind 5-3 but would get the two runs back in the bottom half of the inning after a bases loaded walk by
Justin Brooks and a sacrifice fly by
Ryan Wilson and the game would be tied at 5-5. The Knights would give up one run in the sixth inning but would come back in the seventh inning with a two run home run from Wilson and RBI doubles by
Derick Stager and
Jaiden Duarte go take the 9-6 lead as they looked to have the game in hand. The Knights would give up three runs in the eighth inning and one run in the ninth and would go on to lose to the Barons 10-9. The Knights finish the season with a record of 30-19-1.
