Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Macon, GA - The Knights Volleyball team opened their conference play with a weekend series against Loyola on Friday, September 9th and William Carey on Saturday, September 10th. The Knights were coming off a win against Wesleyan College and looking to carry their momentum into conference play. The Knights looked outmatched against Loyola as the Knights would quickly fall behind in the first two sets of the match. The Knights would lose the first set 25-14 and lose the second set 25-8. The Knights would have a negative attacking percentage in both sets which led to the two lost sets. The Knights would hold their own in the third set, falling behind early but would score points late but would run out of time as the Knights would lose the set 25-18 and lose the match 3-0. The Knights would look to have better luck against the Crusaders on Saturday. The Knights would keep the first set close early on but the Crusaders would pull away to win the set 25-12. The Knights would look strong in the second set as they would take the early lead and have a 17-14 lead before losing 11 of the next 12 points to lose the set 25-18. The Knights would get another early lead in the third set but the Crusaders would retake the lead early on as the set would be played close throughout with the Knights eventually losing 25-20. The Knights record drops to 1-4 as they return to the court on Tuesday, September 13th as they travel to Marietta, Georgia to take on the Running Eagles of Life University. The match is set to start at 7 PM EST.
