Cochran, GA - The Knights were back at home on Saturday, September 24th as they hosted the Running Eagles of Life University to open SSAC play. The Knights were coming off a road loss against Keiser University and were looking to rebound. The Knights would be on the attack from the start of the match as they would fire off a number of shots. The Knights would not have any luck though as none of their shots would find the back of the net and the Knights would go into the halftime break tied at 0-0. The Knights would continue to provide the offense in the game in the second half. The Knights would commit a foul in the penalty box in the 69th minute that would lead to a Running Eagles goal. The Knights provide some late game magic as they would tie the game at 1-1 with 37 seconds left after Tatjana Steinau would put the Katie Roberts pass in the back of the net. The game would end in a 1-1 tie as the new rule takes effect with no overtime in the case of a tie at the end of regulation. The Knights will be back in action on Satuday, October 1st as they travel to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. The match is set to kick off at 1 PM EST.
