Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on the field on Saturday, September 24th as they hosted the Running Eagles of Life University. The match was the first conference match of the season for the Knights and it would be a tough one as the Running Eagles came into the match ranked 20th in the NAIA. The Knights would start off the match on the wrong side of the ball as the Running Eagles would take a number of corner kicks early on. The Knights would eventually get on the offensive side of the ball and take a couple of shots but both would be stopped by the Life goalkeeper. The match would remain a 0-0 draw going into the halftime break as the Knights would have a strong defensive half. The Knights would have to play another strong defensive half but the Running Eagles would find a way to score as the Knights would fall behind 1-0 in the 51st minute. The Knights would give up another goal in the 61st minute and would only get off one shot in the second half as they would fall 2-0. The Knights will look to rebound on Saturday, October 1st as they travel to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. The match is set to kick off at 3:30 PM EST.
