Cochran, GA - The Knights were back in action on their home court on Thursday, January 19th as they hosted the Rams of the University of Mobile. The Knights were coming off of a victory against Talladega College and were looking to keep the momentum up going into Thursday's game. The Knights would get off to a slow start as the Rams would score the first seven points of the game before the Knights would score the next six to close the gap down to one point. The Knights offense would sputter as the Rams would go on a 10-2 run to end the first quarter and the Knights would fall behind 17-8. The Knights offense would refire to start the second quarter as they would go on a 8-0 run to close the gap back down to one point before the Rams would jump back out to a five point lead at the halftime break. The Knights offense would struggle in the third quarter as the Rams would pull away with the lead growing to as many as 16 points and the Knights would be down 43-31 at the end of the third quarter. The offense for the Knights would come back to start the fourth quarter as they would cut the lead to four points but the Rams regain their momentum and the Knights would lose the game 67-47.
Kassidy Broussard led the Knights with 15 points and
Destanee Wright added 11 points. The Knights will be back in action at home on Saturday, January 21st as they host the Wolfpack of Loyola University. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 PM EST.
