Denmark, SC - The Knights were on the road on Saturday, November 11th as they traveled to Denmark, South Carolina to take on the Tigers of Voorhees University. The Knights were coming off of a conference loss and were looking spoil the Tigers homecoming celebration. The Knights would get off to a hot start as they would score the first seven points of the game but the Tigers would reel the Knights back in as the game would be tied at 18-18 midway through the first half. The rest of the first half would remain close as both teams would trade the lead and the game would be tied at 37-37 at the halftime break. The second half would be much like the last ten minutes of the first half as neither team could pull away from the other and the game would go into overtime, tied at 69-69. In overtime, the Tigers would hold the lead for much of the period but the Knights would tie the game at 75-75 to force a second overtime period, where the Knights would gain the momentum, outscoring the Tigers 13-4, to win the game 88-79.
Brice Martin led the Knights with 29 points and
Adarius Oliver would add a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, November 16th as they host the Firehawks of UT-Southern for their first home conference game of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
