Talladega, AL - The Knights were on the road on Tuesday, February 7th as they traveled to Talladega, Alabama to take on the Tornadoes of Talladega College. The Knights previously defeated the Tornadoes in the season at home and were looking to complete the season sweep. The first quarter of the game would be a sign of things to come as the Tornadoes would get an early lead but the Knights would keep them within reach as the Knights would not grab the lead until late in the quarter and the game would be tied at 15-15 at the end of the quarter. The Knights would let the Tornadoes start to slowly pull away in the second quarter as the Knights would fall behind by six points before facing a five point deficit at the halftime break. The deficit for the Knights would grow to nine points in the third quarter before the Knights would close the gap back down to three points at the end of the third quarter. The Knights would take the lead back in the fourth quarter but would not be able to hold on as the game would be tied 54-54 at the end of regulation. In overtime, the Knights would hold the lead for a majority of the period but two free throws late by the Tornadoes would force a second overtime period. The Tornadoes would take a one point lead early in the second overtime but the Knights would use a seven point run to get ahead and they would go on to win 76-70. Kassidy Broussard and Destanee Wright led the Knights with 16 points each and Lashauna Coley added 12 points. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, February 9th as they host the Eagles of Faulkner University. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
