Montgomery, AL - The Knights were in Montgomery, Alabama on Wednesday, February 22nd as they were set to play in the first round of the SSAC Tournament. The Knights finished the season as the 9-seed in the SSAC and had to take on the Running Eagles of Life University. The Knights won both matchups in the regular season and were looking to make it three victories on the season. The Knights and Running Eagles started off the game trading the lead before the Knights would start to fall behind. The Knights would be behind as much as nine points in the first quarter and would face a 20-11 deficit at the end of the first quarter. The deficit would continue to grow in the second quarter as the Knights would go the first 3:24 without scoring and would be behind by as many as 26 points before heading into the halftime break down 42-20. Both teams would come out of the break cold as both teams would only score seven points in the third quarter and the Knights would remain down by 22 points. The Knights would add a positive note to the game as they would outscore the Running Eagles 21-19 in the fourth quarter but the deficit would be too great as the Knights would go on to lose 68-48. Kassidy Broussard would lead the Knights with 18 points and Destanee Wright would add 16 points. The Knights finish the season 8-17.
