Montgomery, AL - The Knights were in Montgomery, Alabama to play in the SSAC Tournament this past weekend. The Knights went into the tournament as the 2-seed. The Knights would play the Bleu Devils of Dillard University on Friday. The Knights would win the match easily as they would secure the doubles point with wins by Tidjine/Bajarchary and Kamaruzzaman/Pratdepadua and they would win the first three singles matches to finish as Naufal Kamaruzzaman, Samyak Bajarchary and Mariano Jalif would take the wins and the Knights would move on to the SSAC Championship match where they would face the 1-seed Crusaders of William Carey University on Saturday. The championship match would prove to be a tougher match than the previous day as the Knights would lose two of the three doubles matches and go into singles competition down 1-0. The Knights would pick up singles win from Ginafranco Germinara, Adria Pratdepadua, and Jalif as the match would be tied at 3-3. The final singles match would come down to the #2 singles spot where Kamaruzzaman would pull off the win in three sets to secure the SSAC Championship for the Knights. Germinara would earn the Championship MVP, winning both his singles and doubles match.
