Cochran, GA - The Knights returned to SSAC action on Saturday, January 13th as they hosted the Roadrunners of Dalton State College. The Knights were coming off of a win against Voorhees College and were looking to carry that momentum into the second half of the conference schedule. The Knights would get off to a good start as they would take an early lead but the Roadrunners would keep the game close as the Knights could not pull away. The Knights would fall behind by seven points with 7:28 remaining in the first half but would use a 16-2 run to close out the half as they would take a 36-29 lead into the halftime break. The Knights would continue to hold the lead in the second half until the 14:57 remaining mark as the Roadrunners would tie the game at 43-43. The Knights and Roadrunners would trade the lead until the 9:03 remaining mark when the Roadrunners would go on a 9-0 run to take control of the game. The Knights deficit would grow to 11 points as they would try and make a comeback attempt but would ultimately lose the game 77-71. The Knights were led by
Pierles Brown with 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting, 4-of-9 from the 3-point line.
Adarius Oliver would add a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. The Knights will be back in action on Wednesday, January 17th as they will remain at home when they host the Running Eagles of Life University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
