Montgomery, AL - The Knights hit the road for another conference matchup on Saturday, January 20th as they traveled to Montgomery, Alabama to take on the Eagles of Faulkner University. The Knights previously lost a close game to the Eagles at home but were coming off of their first conference win of the season and looking to add another win. The game would start off slow for the Knights as they would quickly find themselves trailing the Eagles but the Knights would come back and tie the game at 16-16 with 14:39 remaining in the first half. The Knights would continue to make shots as they would jump out to a 10 point lead but the Eagles would close the gap and the game would remain close throughout the rest of the first half with the Knights taking a 49-46 lead into the halftime break. The Knights would come out of the break with a point to prove as they would pull away from the Eagles and take a 16 point lead with 14:29 remaining in the game. The Eagles would try and make a comeback as they would get to within six points but the Knights would hold on for the 96-87 victory. The Knights were led by
Pierles Brown with 32 points on 11-18 shooting, 6-10 from beyond the 3-point line.
Andrew Prestwood (13 points) and
Adarius Oliver (12 points) would contribute off the bench and
Brice Martin (11 points) would all reach double digits in scoring. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, January 25th as they travel to Pulaski, Tennessee to take on the Firehawks of UT-Souther. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 PM EST.
