Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on their home pitch on Thursday, Ocotber 10th as they hosted the 5th-ranked Firehawks of UT-Southern. The Knights were coming off of a win against Dalton State and were looking to get an upset win over the Firehawks.
The Knights and Firehawks got off to a slow start but the match would start to pick up speed late in the first half with the Firehawks scoring in the 30th minute as the Knights would trail 1-0 at halftime. The second half would take a turn with the Firehawks scoring five goals but the Knights would score one goal in the 83rd minute on a shot by
Lujaine El-Shami that was assisted by
Safiya Dean. The Knights would lose the match 6-1.
The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, October 17th when they host the Nighthawks of Thomas University in the final home match of the season. Kick off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
