Marietta, GA - The Knights were on the road in Marietta, Georgia as they were set to take on the Running Eagles of Life University in the first round of the SSAC Tournament. The Knights were the 6-seed and previously lost to the Running Eagles earlier in the season.
The Knights would start off the match with the first shot but would go on defense for much of the rest of the first half. The Running Eagles would score their first goal in the 24th minute after a foul would set them up with a penalty kick. The lead would grow with another goal in the 33rd minute before the Knights would get back on offense as they would fire another two shots but neither would find the net. The Running Eagles would score another goal in the 41st minute as the Knights would trail 3-0 at halftime. The lead would grow to 4-0 after just 35 seconds in the second half and the final goal would be scored in the 68th minute. The Knights would fire off six shots in the second half but the Running Eagles defense would keep the ball from finding the back of the net as the Knights would lose 5-0.
The Knights finish the season with a record of 8-11, 6-5 SSAC as they begin to transition into NCAA D-II.
