Beaufort, SC -The Knights were on the road for the first time since the opening game of the season as they traveled to Hardeeville, South Carolina to take on the Sand Sharks of D-II USC-Beaufort. The Knights were looking to carry the momentum they found against Mobile into the game as they were looking to stay above .500 on the season. The Knights looked to score early as they would load the bases in the first inning but would be unable to score any runs. The Knights would threaten again in the second inning as they would get a runner to third but again would be unable to drive the run in. The game would remain tied at 0-0 until the sixth inning when the Knights would break through with an RBI double from
Datren Bray as the Knights would take a 1-0 lead. The Sand Sharks would tied the up at 1-1 in the bottom half of the inning but the Knights would score two runs in the seventh inning an RBI double from
Jacob Pierce and an RBI single from
Ryan Wilson as the Knights looked to be in position to get the win. The Sand Sharks would have an answer for the Knights as they would score two runs in the seventh inning and one run in the eighth inning as the Knights would lose the game 4-3.
