West Point, GA - The Knights were on the road on Saturday, February 3rd as they traveled to West Point, Georgia to take on the Skyhawks of Point University. The Knights were coming off of a close win at home against Thomas University and were looking to carry that momentum for another win. The Knights would start off the game scoring the first five points but the Skyhawks would come back to tie the game at 5-5. The first quarter would stay close as the Knights would trail 14-12 at the end of the quarter. The Knights would continue to trail in the second quarter as they would be unable to take the lead from the Skyhawks but they would keep the deficit from growing too large as they would trial 30-22 going into the halftime break. The deficit would grow to 10 points coming out of the break but the Knights would find a rhythm as they would quickly erase the deficit and take a 35-34 lead with 5:09 remaining in the third quarter. The Knights would continue to make some shots as they would lead 43-40 at the end of the third quarter. The Knights would sustain their lead in the fourth quarter as they would go on to win 60-55. Brianna McRae with 15 points and Banessa Samuel would add 10 points. The Knights will be back in action on Monday, February 5th as they travel to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
